The day God heard me through the wall...
God heard me through the wall!
God heard me through the wall . He was listening all the time and I just didn't know it.
I was 18 years old when I was at he altar praying on a Sunday night after church, the closing hymns were playing and I was at the altar feeling as God being a million miles away from me. I was seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit
( notice what the scripture reads )
but felt as if there was this big great wall between me and God and He was not listening to a word I had to say despite all the tears that were going down my face as I cried out to Him and could not feel His presence or even that He was listening.
I think it was about twenty minutes had passed by when an English teacher from my college came and sat next to me with her Bible open and told me God wants me to share this scripture with you, this is what she shared in
Luke 11:11
11
And which of you, being a father, will give a stone to his son, who makes request for bread? or for a fish, will give him a snake?
12
Or for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
13
If, then, you who are evil are able to give good things to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who make request to him?
It was amazing that this scripture was shared with me but I still felt that wall between me and God and could not understand why I was feeling this way.
She went back to her seat and I continued to seek God still feeling this great big wall between me and God.
It was about 10:30 PM now most people have went to the dorms and here I am still feeling this great big wall and could not get through to God .
When a friend of mine who had no knowledge of what was just shared with me about 20 minutes ago by that teacher , she also came and sat next to me with her Bible in her hand and said "Nina God wants me to share this with you "and guess what?
It was the same scripture that the English teacher had shared with me.
It spoke to me so much that day and I learned that just because you don't feel God is listening it does not mean He can't hear you.
I encourage you to speak to Him today. You might feel there is a big huge wall between you and God but know this He can hear you and He is listening. I pray that this will help you to press on and love and serve God not by feeling but by faith.

I have been a christian since I was a teenager and I love Jesus Christ more and more each day that I live. I can't imagine life without His love. Will you give your life to Him today. Please write me if you need me to pray for you.
